Join Kathy Kelly Praying for Peace Saturday

Kathy Kelly is here in NYC this weekend and praying for peace in Washington Square Park on Saturday, Sept. 7th, at 6:30 pm. As she shared it on Facebook, it looks like Catholic Worker is fine with others joining in. Kathy wrote:

Here in NYC, I'm a guest at Maryhouse Catholic Worker. Several of us have organized a vigil at Washington Square Park, 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 7, joining Pope Francis's call to oppose U.S. military strikes against Syria.

New York Fellowship of Reconciliation -- NYFOR -- has been active in its present incarnation since the 1990s when it was re-established by Fr. Current focus, besides ending the Iraq occupation and working to prevent further assaults on peace, include stopping torture, working with United for Peace and Justice, documenting Songs for Peace, and planning a cultural peace presentation entitled Pieces of Peace.
